The ANIMATE store chain for character goods began advertising a "Wild Tiger Rubber Mask," inspired by the Tiger & Bunny television anime series, that it plans to sell in Japan this winter. According to the advertising blurb, "if you put on the mask, you too will be a hero!"
Sunrise's Tiger & Bunny anime centers around heroes for hire — super powered beings known as NEXT who wear sponsor logos while fighting crime on live television. Viz Media streamed the anime in the United States as it aired in Japan.
